Vector AI and EPS Files (Preferred Formats)
Vector Illustrator (AI) and Encapsulated PostScript (EPS) files are the preferred formats for artwork submission. These formats ensure sharp edges and no distortion, regardless of zoom level. Unlike bitmap files, vector graphics maintain quality at any size.
Please do not create a bitmap file and save it as an AI or EPS file—this does not convert it to vector. Such files will remain unusable and may require redrawing, which incurs an additional fee.
Pantone Spot Colours
For best results, all colours should be converted to Pantone spot colours. In Illustrator and other design software, individual colours can be selected and converted to their Pantone equivalents. If unsure, refer to the software documentation or online resources for guidance.
For screen printing, we print one colour at a time in layers. Colour-separated files are essential to streamline this process.
Embedding Fonts & Converting Fonts to Paths (Curves)
If your artwork contains text, all fonts MUST be converted to paths (or curves, depending on the software). This ensures the text becomes a graphic object that remains unchanged. Failure to do this may result in font mismatches if we do not have the same font installed.
TIF and PSD Bitmap Files – Suitable for Single Colour Prints
Bitmap files (TIF or PSD) must be at least 300dpi and sized to the exact (or larger) print dimensions. Colours should be separated into layers. These formats are not preferred and may incur additional costs if adjustments are required. Note: Not suitable for CAD cut printing.
Adobe PDF Files
PDFs must be created from vector files while maintaining edit-ability.
Saving a bitmap as a PDF does not convert it to vector format, and such files may be subject to redrawing fees.
